Lots of McLean Neighbors were in the news in the last few days, in addition to Daniel F. Akerson who was named to head General Motors. We love successful neighbors.
Lynda Erkiletian. OMG. The Washington Post reported Friday that McLean is now the address of two of “The Real Housewives of D.C.” Apparently Linda Erkiletian moved from her Georgetown apartment back to McLean. Remember she was shopping for a new address in Thursday’s night episode.
Mika Brzezinski. What a delight to turn on the Weekend Today Show on NBC and find hometown girl Mika Brzezinski filling in for hard-working, we- are-glad-he-finally got-a- vacation Lester Holt.
Mika grew up in McLean. She’s a Madeira grad. Her parents foreign policy expert and Former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski and artist Emilie live on Old Dominion Drive near Spring Hill. She talks about growing up in McLean in her book All Things At Once.
McLean Double Jeopardy Teen Contestant Takes the Bronze Medal. Aidan Mehigan, of McLean, a student at Saint Anselm’s Abbey School in Washington, came in third in the Double Jeopardy Teen Championship that ended Friday. Aiden took home $15,000.
“It’s pretty cool to be up here,” Aidan told host Alex Trebek.
