The Editor

Bobbi Bowman is a native Virginian. She’s lived in McLean for 10 years. She has worked as a news reporter and editor for more than 30 years at The Washington Post, The Detroit Free Press, USA TODAY, and the Observer-Dispatch in Utica, NY.

Her passions: community news, B-17‘s and the Mighty Eighth  Army Air Force of World War II, the Civil War. In June 2009, she proudly stood on Omaha Beach with the men of the 29th Infantry Division who survived that beach on June 6, 1944, D-Day. They are now grandfathers, great grandfathers and forever heroes.
